Jereh Group has entered into a strategic collaboration with CNNP Oceanic Nuclear Power Development Co., Ltd. (COND) to jointly explore the floating nuclear power sector. The two parties will work together on floating nuclear power platforms, covering areas such as integrated solution delivery, engineering support, and market development.

Under the collaboration framework, the project will be executed by Jereh SMR Energy Holding Company (Jereh SMR), a subsidiary of Jereh Group. Jereh SMR will leverage its overseas market presence and resource advantages to carry out market development activities related to nuclear-powered floating platforms. In addition, COND and Jereh SMR will mutually provide technical services and resource support to each other.

Proven technology: land-based validation, fast deployment

The floating power platform involved in this collaboration is based on a well-demonstrated small pressurized water reactor (PWR) technology. The reactor has completed full engineering validation and real-core operation on a land-based prototype, making it one of the few small PWR designs worldwide that has been fully engineered and physically verified. With a mature supply chain, the technology offers significant advantages in rapid construction and global deployment.

Floating power platform: a solution for remote and offshore energy needs

A floating power platform is a mobile nuclear energy unit that can be relocated to remote coastal areas, islands, or offshore facilities to provide stable electricity, heat, and fresh water. Key characteristics include:

ü Flexible deployment independent of fixed power grids

ü Long fuel cycle with extended operation between refueling

ü High power density with a small footprint

ü Suitable for offshore oil and gas production, island development, port power supply, and other clean energy applications

Jereh's role in the collaboration

In this partnership, Jereh SMR will provide an integrated set of capabilities across high-end equipment manufacturing, modular skid-mounted systems, engineering construction support, and subsequent operation and maintenance services. At the same time, Jereh will be able to utilize its overseas market network and project execution experience to support the international promotion of floating power platforms.

Project progress and collaboration mechanism

The two parties have established a joint working mechanism and will soon initiate preparations for the first demonstration project. Together, they aim to deliver safe, stable, and rapidly deployable clean power solutions for coastal communities and island regions around the world.

Conclusion

Through this strategic collaboration with COND, Jereh enters the floating nuclear power sector. The partnership combines a proven small PWR technology with Jereh’s integrated solution capabilities and overseas market presence, offering a mature, reliable, and rapidly deployable energy option for global floating power platform demand.
