Hong Kong/ December 5, 2018, Jereh Group (SZ002353) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Siemens Energy Inc. regarding small gas turbine. By integrating their resources, the both parties will achieve in-depth cooperation in the field of oil & gas and industrial power generation.

It is the first time for Siemens aero-derivative gas turbine to be packaged in China and also Siemens’ initial cooperation with Chinese private enterprise in terms of medium & small gas turbine packaging. Mr. Xu Jian, General Manager of Jereh, and Mr. Robert Bouwens, Director of Siemens signed the agreement.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Yantai, Mr. Zhang Shuping, the CEO of Siemens Greater China region, Mr. Lothar Herrmann, the Vice President and Financial Director of Siemens China, Ms. Shi Danrui as well as the Deputy Chairman of Jereh Group, Ms. Wang Jili were also present at the signing ceremony.

Based on this cooperation, Jereh, Siemens and the government of Laishan, Yantai signed a framework agreement additionally, aiming to build an eco-industrial park in Yantai. By adopting advanced SGT-A05 aero-derivative gas turbine of Siemens, Jereh is going to construct the first combined energy station in Yantai, which will supply the eco-industrial park with clean energy resources. The station will also aid the park in forming a regional network of energy supply and leading to a greener ecological city in the future.

The technology of gas turbine represents a nation’s industrial strength to a great extent. Compared with traditional gas turbine, aero-derivative gas turbine features lighter weight and higher thermal efficiency while quick & frequent on-off operation is also attainable.

Siemens, as a leading gas turbine equipment provider around the globe, has a wide range of gas turbines such as heavy gas turbine, industrial gas turbine and aero-derivative gas turbine, with fuel output covering 4 megawatt to 567 megawatt. Jereh is going to take overall responsibility for the design, procurement, production, marketing and engineering service of SGT-A05 aero-derivative gas turbine during its localization process. It is a significant move which can provide cost-effective equipment and solutions for Chinese offshore platform, remote operation site and combined energy industry on the whole.

This remarkable cooperation has perfectly combined world-class advanced technology and rich locally-based experience. Both sides shall share complementary advantages and continue broadening the scope of cooperation to benefit local economic development and eventually to maximize value for China’s energy exploration and energy structure transition.
