Yantai/November, 22, Jereh signed a contract for natural gas treatment facilities supply in Nigeria. Jereh will provide 7 units of compressor packages, 4 water-injection pumps and a great deal of natural gas treatment skids to client, amounting to over 19 million dollars.

It is Jereh’s another major achievement in African market after securing a gas processing project in Tunisia this October, which plays an important role in expanding local market and implementing the Belt and Road Initiative.
Nigeria owns rich oil & gas reserves and has always been the biggest oil producer and oil exporter in Africa. By the end of 2018, Nigeria’s proven natural gas reserves stand at 202-trillion scf, taking up to 37% of total natural gas reserves in Africa, ranking NO.1 within the continent and NO.9 in the world respectively.
However, due to the lack of innovative technology and equipment, the exploration and development of Nigerian natural gas failed to live up to expectation. Huge amount of natural gas are usually released in the air and burned directly, resulting in the waste of energy and environmental problem.
To utilize the resources effectively with least wastage, Nigerian government launched the Nigerian Gas Flare Commercialization Programme (NGFCP) in 2016, urging to eliminate gas flaring through technically and commercially sustainable gas utilization projects and achieve national flare-out target by year 2020.
For this project, Jereh compressor packages adopt modular design, making itself convenient to be transported, especially for those areas with tough road conditions.
More importantly, the gas injection compressor packages and engine-driven CNG compressor packages employ a special design that drives air cooler by engines instead of conventional electric motors. Considering the facts that local areas suffer from a short power supply and occasional power outage, Jereh’s customized design helps eliminate the problems and risks.
The client has purchased Jereh’s CNG compressor packages and well service equipment for multiple times. This time, they decided to join hands with Jereh again out of trust and brand recognition.

Forrest Wang, Vice President of Jereh Group, says, “Jereh is going to provide more competitive solutions to our clients by leveraging own advantages and insisting localized strategy. Our ultimate goal is to lower overall costs and enhance development efficiency.
“The cooperation this time helps Jereh gain more experience in integrated engineering project and will lead us to broader co-op in the future. Also, we are glad to contribute our own strength for Sino-Africa bonds and the Belt and Road Initiative.”
